The Richland College Student Government Association & Honors Student Organization hosted World AIDS Day | Winter Bash to help raise awareness for HIV/AIDS and show support to those already living with HIV/AIDS. The students made condoms and informational material available and played interactive games to correct the common misconceptions of HIV and AIDS. The #gettested hashtag was also promoted in order to normalize HIV/AIDS testing and encourage students to have safer sex.

"Outreach matters on a college campus because there are lots of misconceptions on the general subject of HIV/AIDS and the stigma prevents people from learning," said Ezra Calado, vice president of the Student Government Association and executive vice president of the Honors Student Organization.

We're so thankful for the partnership with these incredible students and safer sex advocates! See more photos here.
